B Now,

1/ write the sentences above in two different columns in a logical way. Careful, there is at least one booby trap!

2/ pick the phrases illustrating the way both constructions function

to is a preposition / to is an infinitive marker / is a verb / is an adjective / is followed by an infinitive / is followed by a noun or a gerund / translates être habitué à / doesn't translate at all / underlines a contrast between a past situation and a present situation / implicitly means that it's no longer the case / in French, can be rendered by an adverb like "jadis, naguère, dans le temps" / do, does or did are used as helping verbs to make questions and negative sentences / question and negative sentenced are formed by inverting the subject and the helping verb be or by adding not /
